ONE YEAR OF DISCOVERY – Setting the course for your legacy.
How do you lead with confidence in the storms of change? How do you keep your team psychologically safe, calm and in control? How do you create synergy in the boardroom? How do you inspire others to be the best they can be?
With this interactive programme, we offer you an intensive journey to find, refine and strengthen your leadership compass. Over six modules in nine months, we combine deep self-reflection with challenging practical experiences, including two unforgettable sailing trips.
Prepare for an experience that will push boundaries, deepen insights and transform your leadership. Set a course, discover your drives and leave your leadership to live on in the people and organisations you lead, or your legacy.
Are you ready for the challenge? You will work in five inspiring blocks in Scheveningen, Bergen aan Zee, Amsterdam, Scheveningen – Pin Mill – Scheveningen, Vlaardingen towards the sizzling finale back in Scheveningen.
Do you recognise the following issues?
- How do I ensure involvement and commitment?
- How do I create psychological safety within my team, my organisation?
- What can I do with group dynamics? Adjust? Appoint? How do I intervene?
- How do I inspire others to get the best out of themselves?
- How do I ensure support for objectives?
- What can I do to encourage more responsibility?
- How do I prepare my team for future challenges and changes?
TARGET GROUP
This programme is for leaders who want to look beyond numbers and processes and work towards lasting change – in themselves, their team, and their organisation. We offer this programme for two different layers
- C-level
- Middle management
CONTENT
In preparation, you will have an individual intake with one of the trainers. We will discuss the following
- Your personal goals, which we record and track in our OGSM system.
- Your Birkman profile.
- Expectations in terms of impact and outcome measures.
- You will also start your personal journal here.
Module 1 Psychological Safety (2 ½ days, Scheveningen)
You start with an introduction and guided tour on the ship Boudragon in the harbour of Scheveningen. Under the guidance of Hans Bouscholte, the trainers and the trainees, you will look ahead to the programme.
- How do you lay the foundations for psychological security?
- You will gain a deep insight into yourself and others using a personality instrument (Birkman method).
- What do team members need?
- Diagnosis of group dynamics. Which intervention strategies can you use?
- Sailing trip 1 off the Dutch coast
Module 2 Self insight and insight into others (3 days, Bergen aan Zee)
Block 2 takes place entirely on land, but is no less adventurous. Think of it as a journey into yourself. You will be given plenty of space to work on your personal learning goals. Working with other participants
- The power of inner drives
- Recognising and breaking old patterns
- Balancing intuition and intellect
- Deepening your Birkman profile
Module 3 Boardroom dynamics (2 ½ days, Amsterdam)
Overlooking the port of Amsterdam, you will work on everything to do with how people interact. Group and team dynamics, organisational politics, personal vs. public interest and so on. In any case, a boat trip through historic Amsterdam with the theme of leadership gives us a different dynamic for a while.
- Discussing and intervening undercurrents
- From insular culture to synergy
- Seemingly conflicting interests
- Political tensions
Module 4 Supervision 1 (3 days, Scheveningen – Pin Mill)
After this block you will be an Englishman. This is not the most important thing, of course, but it is a nice side effect. In terms of content, you will take stock. You see where you stand on three
- Your own development (the results of your 360° and self-reflection on an adventurous boat trip from Scheveningen to Pin Mill and back certainly help here).
- The impact of your leadership (Q12)
- Results (Intermediate Assessment OGSM)
Module 5 Supervision 2 (1 ½ days, Rotterdam)
Overlooking the cargo traffic gliding by on the water, you can feel the energy of the ocean racers. This is a supervision block, so the data, that gives an impresion of your development, are the starting point. But there is also an opportunity for inspiration, thanks to a city walk in Rotterdam, where leadership is the theme.
Module 6 Finale (1 day [afternoon and evening], Scheveningen)
After so many moments away from home, without the home front having any idea of what you have done and experienced, it is time for a celebration. In Scheveningen you will have the opportunity to meet your spouse and share your experiences. No doubt your spouse will also enjoy seeing the ship on which you have made so many memories. The day ends with a sumptuous dinner. There is, of course, the option of staying overnight.
RESULT
- A leadership style that demonstrates deep insight into drives, behaviours and unique talents.
- Immediately measurable improvement in impact and results
